Ontario International Airport posts April 2017 statistics

ONTARIO, Calif. - May 22, 2017 -- Airline passenger traffic at Ontario International Airport (ONT) increased 4.3 percent in April 2017 compared with the same month in 2016. In April 2017, the airport served a total of 369,500 passengers compared with 354,384 in April 2016. 
Domestic passenger traffic in April 2017 totaled 356,948, an increase of 3.6 percent over 344,467 in the same month the previous year. International passenger traffic increased from 9,917 in April 2016 to 12,552 in April 2017, a 26.6 percent increase.
For the first four months of 2017, domestic passenger traffic jumped 6.4 percent from 1,285,1725 in 2016 to 1,367,688 in 2017. International passenger traffic declined 3.8 percent in the four-month period from 43,485 in 2016 to 41,818 in 2017. Overall, passenger traffic in the four-month period increased 6.1 percent from 1,328,657 in 2016 to 1,409,506 in 2017.
Air cargo freight handled increased 17 percent from 39,899 tons in April 2016 to 46,670 in April 2017. For the first four months of 2017, air cargo freight handled increased 12.2 percent from 165,756 in 2016 tons to 186,046 in 2017.
